Outlook won't send Emails

I got an error message :"A data file did not close properly the lasti time
Outlook was used. I've tried rebooting but Outlook will still not send out
messages from the outbox. Ideas for fixing this?

Outlook 2007? Wait for it to finish checking the data file....it may take
some time if it's a big file.
