Outlook will not send or receive

Outlook 2007 and Vista. When we try to send or receive e-mail it indicates
that we need a subscription to hotmail. We have a subscription to hotmail
plus already. I went through the setup process in outlook to identify the
e-mail address, however it still does not pick up new mail or send existing
messages - still getting the same message that we need a subscription. Any
ideas?

Latest documents at MSN indicate that you need Hotmail Premium to allow
connection from Outlook. However, MSN is working on making Outlook access
free again with a new Outlook Connector. See
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA102225181033.aspx . They're
also introducing a PC client to replace Outlook Express and allow access to
Hotmail free. http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas

No - This is a new computer with the latest Vista program. We have gone
through all of the setup steps and have purchased hotmail plus. We are still
getting the same error message (no error number) that indicates that we need
a subscription to hotmail in order for outlook to work - we have a
subscription to hotmail, but for some reason outlook is not picking this up.

There is an error code that came up this evening: 0X800CCCF6 You must
suscribe to the hotmail service. As I indicated before, we already have a
hotmail plus account.

Brian,

Still getting an error code: 0X800CCCF6 - We do have a Hotmail Plus account
already in place.

I read the Hotmail Plus features and there;s no mention of being able to
access a Plus account from Outlook. It used to work, but I think MSN
changed it.

Did you READ what I posted? Again, it appears that only Hotmail Premium is
available from Outlook at this time.

OMG! I have been trying for months to figure this out.
I never knew i needed a 'connector' because neither site nor customer
service rep reply mentions it.
Outlook now picks up my hotmail messages.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
