Outlook will not send email but does receive

My Outlook account all of a sudden will no longer send emails, however, I do
continue to receive emails.

I called my ISP and confirmed my ports are all correct as well as all my
other settings. Not that I changed anything. I tried turning off my firewall
and anti virus protection and no matter the combination lack or or with
everything on makes any difference.

The only thing I did today was install some automatic updates from MS......
now this program isn't functioning properly.

The error message I am receiving says:

Sending'reportederroe(0x800CCCoF) : 'The connection to the server was
interupted. If this problem continues, contact your server adminstrator or
ISP provider.

Any on have any ideas?

Did you call Cox to check if they might have an outage for their mail
server(s)?

Have you tried configuring Outlook Express to poll for mail from the same
account(s)?

No problem with ISP, I can send and receive from web mail, it's just not
letting me send from Outlook.

i don't have the answer...but this recently happened to me in outlook web
access; i've learned that my mILBOX IS "TOO FULL" AND THAT UNTIL I CLEAN IT
OUT I CAN'T SEND EMAIL...HOWEVER, I'VE CLEANED OUT 300+ MESSAGES AND IT STILL
DOESN'T WORK...oops didn't mean to type caps...i've been told to get
permission to increase my mailbox size....(this is a company site)

I want to know how i can introduce a question so that maybe someone can help
solve my problem...when I click on "new" it doesn't give me a boc to type
in...

good luck with your dilemma

Okay. Did you setup the same account in Outlook EXPRESS to see if e-mail
works okay there? If it doesn't work in OE then call Cox. They won't
support Outlook but should support Outlook Express, and if you cannot get it
working in OE then you have reason to call them for help. If you get it
working in OE then your configuration in Outlook is wrong, you installed
add-ons or plug-ins that cause the problem, your anti-virus or other
security programs are getting in the way. But first see if it works in OE
because if it doesn't then you can call Cox for help.
