Outlook should have an option to auto-delete completed tasks.

It would be helpful if Task options included an auto-delete option for
completed tasks, especially ones set up as a recurring daily task so that
they do not clutter my task list.

You can customize your view to hide completed tasks. Additionally you can
use AutoArchive do automatically delete old items.
