Sure; you modify the installation, via add/remove dialogue or direct from
Office cd to remove OL (set it not to run from PC)
However both Office 2003 & OL 2003 is fully compatible with Vista, any
problems you are having are likely caused by your installing Office2k and
then using the Office2003 cd to upgrade your installation. As Office2k is
incompatible with Vista / not tested on Vista and will give problems which
the upgrade may not have cured.
If you have any vestige of Office2k on your PC it should be uninstalled,
then use the Office2003 cd to repair your installation.
Thank you for the reply. I uninstalled Office 2K with Add/Remove and then
Microsoft of its own accord reinstalled Excel 2003 and the Word, but when I
click on an address in the Contacts of Windows Mail I still get the Outlook
format of the email without the "Send" icon! So, What do I do now?
Repair your Office installation using the Office2003 cd, if after
uninstalling Office2k, the 2003 installer started, something was not quite
right with your installation.
Since I dont use Windows Mail I cannot answer that part, I would suggest
posting to a Vista or Win Mail specific group.
I presume by 'list of files' you simply mean the explorer view of the cd.
Locate and double click the setup.exe file (or is it setup.msi? I'm not
looking at the mo)
