Outlook receiving multiple read receipts

Hi All,

I am receiving a read receipt from an email I sent every 15 seconds! This
is quickly filling up my inbox. I'm using Outlook 2003 on POP3. I've
checked on the server, and the email isn't sitting there.

Any ideas?

Is it in your Outbox still?

Nope - that's the first thing I checked. It's in his sent folder.

Does he have an antivirus program configured to scan outgoing mail? If so,
disable that scanning.

Sorry to hijack his post but I am also having this exact problem on one of
our PCs. We dont have anything on the machines scanning outgoing emails.
The user keeps getting read receipts for several emails sent days ago. The
read receipts tell us that the email has been read at different times. Very
annoying.

Sorry to hijack his post but I am also having this exact problem on one of
our PCs. We dont have anything on the machines scanning outgoing emails.
The user keeps getting read receipts for several emails sent days ago. The
read receipts tell us that the email has been read at different times. Very
annoying.

Are they read receipts or "not read" receipts? Is the account an IMAP
account?
