~Outlook.pst.tmp File in Outlook Folder

Danny

I am having a problem sync'ing Outlook to an iPhone. I find that the
~Outlook.pst.tmp file that is created when Outlook opens does not go away
when Outlook is closed as I believe it should. I don't think the iPhone is
the cause, but maybe the leftover tmp file may be the reason why I can't
sync.

I am trying to find out if the tmp file should go away and if it doesn't
what might be the cause.

Thankyou.

SP2 solved the iPhone sync problem, and also solved the OL Data file did not
close properly error I neglected to mention in my first post.

When OL is operating properly the ~Outlook.pst.tmp file is gone when OL
closes. In my case after closeing OL, the OL exe was not found in task
manager but the ~Outlook.pst.tmp was found in the OL folder.

Are you using itunes to sync? It will keep outlook open but sp2 may help.

Likely way off base here but do you have Windows Indexing running and
does it index your Outlook?

If so, maybe it hasn't let go of the file for some reason...
