Outlook Folders Moved

O

orionstargate

I am using WinXP and MS Outlook 2002 (10.4712.4219) SP2. The system
has been slow and I must have somehow moved the 'tasks' folder to be a
subfolder of 'sent'.

When I attempt to put the 'sent' folder back to it's default location
(subfolder of mailbox), the following error message is received:
"Can't move the items. Special folders, including the Inbox, Contacts,
Calendar, Notes, Tasks, and Journal folders cannot be moved."

Any corrective suggestions?

Thanks,
orionstargate

This might not be exactly right word for word but I would do something along the lines of

1. Log in as domain admin grou
2. Cut the PST from C:\Documents and Settings\Nick\...... and paste it into C:\Documents and Settings\NickC\.......
3. Log in as Nick
4. Start Outlook and add a new Personal Folder, pointing it to the NickC directory that you can now access

If you cannot start Outlook whilst being logged in as NickC, this may mean that you need to create the Mail profile again - Go into Control Panel, click Mail (or whichever similar option you have), click Profiles and add a new one.

I could get the folder back, using the procedure Roady suggested.
It worked fine, thanks for the speedy responses.
