can select a message but can't seem to use the delete icon to delete
messages...must use the keyboard & select "shift" + "delete" keys to get rid
of messages (asks "are you sure", which I must select, then hit "enter" key
to finally delete)

this is a relatively recent development...if I select a message & wish to
delete by right clicking on my mouse & selecting "delete", I get a message
saying that "the message cannot be deleted, whereas hitting the delete icon
on the tool bar doesn't give this message but still will not delete the
message either

doesn't seem to matter which folder I try to delete from

perplexed!!

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003/2007 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...px?dg=microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
Good luck!
