Outlook Outlook Express - Lost Folders

I am a new member.
I use Windows XP and Outlook Express.
In Outlook I have a large amount of folders and sub-folders. Example of problem:
I have folder (1 - which I shall call "main folder") which includes sub-folders (1.1) and (1.2) which I shall call "secondary folders". Then, in subfolder (1.2) I have subfolder (1.3 - called "tertiary folder").
Problem: All main and secondary folders disappeared, and I was left only with tertiary folders.
Hope this is clear!
