outlook express does not send in XP2

Recently upgraded to XP service pack 2. Outlook express will not send
messages. Error message:
The host 'smpt.comcast.net' could not be found. Please verify that you have
entered the server name correctly. Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server:
'smpt.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

1) There's no such thing as XP2 - it's Windows XP with Service Pack 2.
2) Of course it won't send - and it's nothing to do with the SP2, either.
It's a PEBCAK or ID-TEN-T error. The clue is in the error - pay particular
attention to the 'Protocol' and then look at what you've entered.

It appears to me that you have a mistake in your SERVERS tab...
It is NOT "SMPT"... It should be "SMTP" in most cases... You may have
to
phone Comcast for support on this issue... That would be my first
call.
