Outlook Express 6 became my default

Computer Guy - Not

When I try to email a number of websites now, suddenly Outlook Express 6
supplants Yahoo and I get the following statement/question: Outlook Express 6
is currently not your default mail client. Would you like it to be your mail
client? Yes or No.

Whether I say yes or no, I have to write the email in the Outlook box and
then I get the following blurb:

The host 'yahoo' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly Account: 'yahoo', Server: 'yahoo', Protocol: SMTP,
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

I re-checked my computer settings and I have Yahoo in place as it should be
as my default. It has always worked? What can I do to bring things back to
normal?

Select Yahoo as the default in these two (2) locations:

1. Start | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Set Program Access and
Defaults | E-mail

[NB: Select Yahoo, not "Use my current..." option]

2. IE Tools | Internet Options | Programs | E-mail

The above assumes Yahoo Messenger is installed and you've selected Yahoo
Mail as your default via the Messenger UI.
