Outlook Express Contacts Lost Upon Upgrade to Vista Windows Mail

I had many contacts and numerous e-mails in the Inbox & Sent directories of
Outlook Express as well as other directories that I had created to
retain/achive important messages. Upon installation of Vista, old files were
saved to a Window (old) directory on my computer, but I do not know where to
look for them or how to recover the contacts and e-mails that I archived.
Anybody have an idea on this?

Do a search for .wab files (Address Book files) and .dbx files (Outlook
Express folder files). You might need to unhide hidden files and folders
through Folder Options. Make sure when doing the search that you are
searching everywhere, not just indexed locations so look at your search
options carefully.
