Outlook Express 6 WXP SP2 save attachment to disk not available

Since upgrade WXP to SP2, Outlook Express 6 Mail Attachment dialog box no
longer has the option to Save to Disk; only open and cancel are available.
Have changed settings to allow saves. Any suggestions? Would prefer not to
Open, but Save to Disk.

Had already checked this, but to no avail. The option to Save to Disk still
doesn't appear.

My Computer, Tools menu, Options, File Types, highlight the filetype, click
Advanced. Put a check in "Confirm open after download"

Not very clear Mark.
I can't read mail in Outlook Express--only see the message headers but no
text of the mail in the bottom pane. This is happening after i installed SP2.
On right clicking My Computer I see no "Tools Menu"
Grateful if you could clarify.
Thanks.
Veekay.

The subject of this thread is "Outlook Express 6 WXP SP2 save attachment to
disk not availabl" and I was
responding to Caroline, as the quoted text shows. Your problem has nothing
to do with my offered solution.

You probably have a corrupt message store file. What have you tried so far
to fix the problem? Creating a new Identity in OE (File menu, see Manage
identities) would probably fix it, and Importing the old Identity messages
would recover your old mail (from File menu, Import and export item).

Tools menu, Options, Maintenance Tab, Store Folder button shows you where
the DBX files are stored on your system.
