Outlook does not retrieve all email

I use Outlook 2003 at my office (which has a MS Exchange server.)
Recently, it seems that Outlook does not retrieve all emails from my 2
primary POP accounts. It does not pick up mail from recipients that I
have previously sent and received mail from. I have not knowingly made
any major changes to the Junk Mail filters, other than to add those
senders whose mail is being overlooked. It seems to be a random
problem affecting non-junk mail in both accounts. Does anyone have an
ideas about this behavior? Is there a way to reset Outlook without
losing all the junk mail settings? Thanks for any input.

is it leaving them in the inbox on the server or downloading them an moving
them to the junk folder? or are they moved to the junk folder on the
exchange server?

Do the messages show up on your web based mailbox provided by your ISP?
Do the messages show up in the Junk Email Folder?

If both are answered "No", then it is not an Outlook issue. If you have a
virus scanner that integrates with Outlook, I would start with
troubleshooting that by disabling its integration with Outlook.

Yes, the messages are in my web based email account, and no, they do
not go into the Outlook junk folder. I should mention I am also
running SpamBayes with Outlook. Also, the messages show up in the
brief alert flash at the bottom of my monitor, but they are not
retrieved from the web email account. Again, this is random. Most
messages are retrieved, but not all of them. Thanks!

If the New Mail Desktop Alert show then they are being retrieved
successfully by Outlook.
Disable SpamBayes and its integration with Outlook and see if it still
occurs.
