Multiple Junk E-mail Folders

ben

I am a new user to Outlook 2007.

I have several email accounts therefore I have constructed a separate Inbox for each.

The mail for each separate account flows into each respective Inbox.

What I would like to do is construct separate Junk E-mail folders for each respective email account.

The reason for such is that if spam from ALL email accounts flows into just 1 Junk E-mail folder there will simply be too much of it to effectively sift through it to assure that nothing unintended for the Junk folder is lost.

It would simply be more manageable to have each email account have its own Junk folder.

Yes, unfortunately I get a lot of junk mail and deleting my email accounts and starting over is not a viable option.

What I would like to do specifically is after spam from all of my email accounts flows into the Main Junk E-mail folder filter into that account's respective Junk E-mail folder.

I tried to figure it out with rules and filters to no avail...

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could assist me.

Thank you very much for your time!

The only way you can did it your way is to create separate mail profiles for
each acct. Or, if you can access your accts using IMAP, the spam will go to
its own folder.

outlookmvp,

Thank you very much for your reply!

I don't think I have IMAP email accounts.... I have a few with swbell.net, yahoo.com and with my web host IX Webhosting.

Assuming I don't have access to IMAP accounts, I don't want to create different profiles as from what I understand you will then have to keep logging in and out of Outlook to access each email account..

You mentioned "your way" in your response..

By all means if you have a better solution please share it with me.

Much appreciative!

BTW, I am using Outlook 2007, with what I think are only POP3 accounts with Windows XP Pro.

without seeing the original message I'm not exactly sure what this is about
or what my reply was as I answer hundreds of messages a day and have a short
memory. :)

With POP accounts, there's no way to have multiple Junk E-mail folders.
