I am trying to understand the difference between "Outlook Address Book" and
"Contacts" in Outlook 2003. All of my names and addresses which I imported
from my contact list from Outlook 2000 from another computer went to the
"Contacts" list in Outlook 2003. I have arranged all the names in my
contact list in last name, first name sequence. However when I create a new
email and bring up the list of names when inserting a "To" email address,
the listing of names is in first name, last name sequence.

I would prefer for this email address lookup when creating a new email to be
in last name, first name sequence order, rather than the first name, last
name sequence.

I would appreciate any help you can give me.

The difference is that the Address Book can consist of several Address
Lists/Contact folders

By default names are sorted by "first name, last name". If you want to
change this to "last name, first name" do the following;
Go to Control Panel-> Mail-> E-mail Accounts-> View or change existing
directories or address books-> select Outlook Address Book-> Change.
At the bottom you can set the way the names are sorted.
