Outlook compatibility with Palm

I am trying to synchronise a Palm Tungsten E (rather old) PDA with Outlook
2007 on a PC running Vista. I have spent three weeks in discussions with
Palm's technicakl support, who have finally given up on me and said that the
Palm may be incompatible with Vista. Has anyone out there managed to do what
I'm trying to do? Please tell me before I waste money on a new PDA!

Thanks very much,

See if http://www.chapura.com/ offers a product that will work.

Brian,

Thanks for the advice. Chapura's website certainly suggests they have the
answer, and I specifically e-mailed their support people, before attempting
anything, and was told that they had a suitable product - available as a free
7-day trial download.

I duly downloaded PocketMirror but - disaster struck! Not only has it done
absolutely nothing to get my Tungsten E to synchronise with Outlook, but my
wife's TX has stopped synchronising with Outlook. Even after uninstalling
PocketMirror, all our Palm software seems to have been corrupted somehow, and
we're having to go back to Palm to plead for further help.

We thought we'd simply uninstall and reinstall everything, but w have even
failed to uninstall the (now unoperative) Palm software (Pal Desktop 6.1) as
the 'uninstall' function accessed via 'control panel' in Vista just doesn't
want to remove it. I have now given up on my old Palm Tungsten E, and will
gladly invest in a second Palm TX, if only we can get both TX's working
properly!

Total disaster! Any advice?...

Regards,

Peter

For sure I'd consult Chapura.

Alas, I do not use Palm devices.
