Outlook cannot turn off the reminder. You may be reminded again.

Does anyone out there know how I can get rid of this message. The
appointment is no longer in my calendar (I am using Exchange based
calendaring).

Try starting Outlook with the /CleanReminders switch

Close Outlook. Give it about 30 seconds to ensure Outlook closes completely.

Select Start | Run

Enter outlook.exe /CleanReminders
(note the space between ".exe" and "/CleanReminders")

Select OK
