Setup failed to configure server refer to the server
error logs and setup error logs for more info.
I spent hours with Dell support and they can not figure
this out exept erasing my compplete computor and starting
from scratch.
I appreciate anybody who could help

Look for the folder \Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$MicrosoftBCM and delete it if you find it. Then rerun setup.

Further my earlier note I have solved the problem by following the advice elswhere "to delete the MSSQL Microsoft BCM folder under Microsoft SQL Server in Programme Files and then installing BCM from the disc" (I had the "server log errors" prior to following this route).
Happy installing

I am having the same problem and have deleted all SQL folders, as well as registry entries, with no luck. Any other ideas
