Outlook Address Book issue

BobS

When one of my clients connected to the home office via TS looks at the
Address book in Outlook, it only shows EX addresses. I am novice enough
that I don't know if this is normal or not.

But when she is sending a new message to one of the internal people in the
company and clicks To: to get the address book the message does not get
delivered. If I look at the message, and select Outlook properties for the
recipient, it only shows the EX address string.

Should TS users not be using Cached mode as it looks as though there is no
off-line address book.

please explain the setup, please.

You say first the user is connecting via TS -- that implies a separate
Terminal Server is being used, in addition to your SBS server. Is that
correct?

If not, then what are they doing to connect? OWA? Outlook over RPC/HTTP?
RWW?

Yes, there is a separate TS (W2K). Users at the remote offices connect to
it via VPN.

OST files and Cached mode is not supported with Terminal Services:

Thanks Kevin,

The link is a big help in understanding things here. I will change these
users profiles and see what happens.

Have a good New Year.
