Outlook 2007 view sort

Hi, I have a XP SP2 system installed with Office Enterprise 2007 and running
OUtlook 2007.

Here is my observation. I have a folder with a list of multiple emails. In
"Message" view that is NOT grouped, i clicked on the received date header to
sort a list of emails by received date. I then select a particular email from
the long list with a particular subject. I then click on the "subject" tab to
sort it by subject.

The issue is that the previous email item i selected is lost and my
selection now becomes whatever the email at the top of the subject list. This
issue seems to occur randomly. A faster way to duplicate this issue is
increase the sort frequency by click "received" and "subject" vice-versa
multiple times. After a few rounds, the selection now becomes lost as
described.

How can i remain my selection at my chosen previous subject? Email me for

this is exactly similar to below reported. Is someone from MSFT seriously
looking into this?

When trying to sort by: from field, some times instead of being sort by the
user/email selected, the sort is done from alphabet order and the user
selection is missed

E.g.

Mail from (e-mail address removed)
Mail from (e-mail address removed)
Mail from (e-mail address removed)
Mail from (e-mail address removed)
Mail from (e-mail address removed)
Mail from (e-mail address removed)
Mail from (e-mail address removed)
Mail from (e-mail address removed)


You select (e-mail address removed) and then sort and instead of the cursor being in
(e-mail address removed), the selection is transfer to (e-mail address removed)

Anyone seen this behaviour?

I actually can't reproduce this. Have you considered contacting Microsoft?

Since the issue is observed on thinkpad T41 noteboook, i've been trying a few
things.

1. same winXP SP2 configuration but on a different hardware: G965 desktop,
Core2Duo CPU, 1GB RAM ==> no issues.
2. tried disabling cleartype on notebook coz it looked to me system was
taking a fraction of a second more to load the reading pane ==> same issue
3. disabled reading pane on notebook since it looked to me that I could
re-select the previous msg fast enough it could "stick" to it ==> same issue.
4. selecting auto-groups on notebook ==> same issue but less occurence
frequency

lost and pulling out my hair..
