outlook 2007 spell check error

Steve

I use "check grammar with spelling." When I press F7 in Outlook 2007
(12.0.6212.1000) on an email reply, it will check my reply as well as the
original message including the space after the end of the FROM: line until
the SENT: It will also try to correct spelling errors that existed in the
original message.

Office 2007 PRO is installed
This behavior did not occur in Office 2003 or prior.

Is there a setting I have wrong or a patch I missed?

I have the checkbox selected but it is not honored. Is there a registry key
I can set to correct it or is there another trick?

I'm experiencing the identical behavior on two computers and would like to
know if there's a fix or a KB article that addresses it.

I found that if "check grammar with spelling" is selected, it checks the
entire email, not just the reply. I have "mark grammar errors as you type"
selected but I deselected "check grammar with spelling".

I would rather that grammar was checked and suggestions made with spelling
suggestions but this is better than always checking the whole document

I think this is an error introduced in Office 2007. I don’t think this
behavior existed in prior versions.

Interesting. I had both boxes unchecked (I don't particularly need/want
grammar checking). I did as you suggested and that seems to work, kludgy
though it is. I never had this problem before, either.

Thanks!!
