Outlook 2007 searching for Boreland Database Engine

Hi - I have Outlook 2007 which came with Office 2007 Pro. I also have Corel
Word Perfect 8 installed on my computer. Outlook 2007 keeps searching for
the Corel address book, and as you can imagine, this tremendously slows down
the loading of Outlook.

Here's a screenshot of the pop-up I get:

Question: Other that uninstalling Word Perfect 8, how do I stop Outlook
2007 from trying to find the Corel Address Book. What setting do I change?

Thanks

Joe

I don't have OL 2007, so this is for 2003, but it should be close.

Open the address book properties in Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or change
existing directories or address books>Next. Select the Outlook Address Book
service and click Change. Is Corel or Borland mentoned anywhere in there?
If so, remove the reference, OK out of the dialogue, then stop and restart
Outlook.

Hi Brian. The Tools menu is a bit different that what you describe in
Outlook 2003, but I believe I found the menu you are referring to. I can't
find anything about Corel, or Outlook Express - only Outlook.

BTW - I get the Boreland pop-up about every 3 minutes or so when Outlook is
running.

Thanks for the screen shot. Have you looked in Corel's configurations or
Control Panels to see if there are any Outlook integration features named?
What about on the other tabs of the dialogue whose image you cite?

Hi again Brian. I got an e-mail from Microsoft Support outlining ways to
possibly correct this problem. I am going through the steps and responding
to MS with the results. When it's finally resolved, I'll post the steps
here.

Thanks

Joe
