Outlook 2007 - multiple pst files with password

I have four pst files in my outlook with one current, which is default
and three old ones. All are password protected. Normally, when I open
outlook it will prompt for password as it is opening the default pst
file and other pst folders, when accessed only will prompt for
password. This was how it used to work with my previous versions of
Outlook.

With the Outlook 2007 version, every time I open Outlook, it prompts
me for password four times - once for each pst file, which is kind of
annoying. I don't see a reason for the other pst files to be open as I
use them occasionally and so no reason for it to ask for password.

Note: Earlier versions used to prompt for password for any other pst
file folders that were not collapsed at the time of closing Outlook,
which is correct. But, if I had closed Outlook with other pst file's
folders collapsed, it used to prompt only for the default pst file and
not for others.

Is there a fix for this problem or should I just live with it?

I'd close the other PSTs which will remove them from the folder tree
completely until you need to open them

Guess I can do that but, it was not so in previouos versions.

However, based on the frequency of how many times I use the old pst
files, it makes sense to open the files as needed than type the
password everytime I open Outlook.

Thanks for the reply !
