Not being prompted for Outlook password

H

Harold Topper

Hi,

I'm running Vista Home Premium and Outlook 2003. I have set a password on
my Outlook .pst file via Outlook but when most of the time (99%) I start up
Outlook I am not prompted for the password. It just opens the file.
Occasionally it will prompt for the password.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is an indication that Outlook is not closing properly when you think
you are closing it. See if anything here helps:

Gordon hit it right on the nose.

I think not. The OP is using Outlook 2003 and even if it were Outlook 2002,
the problem would be a constant prompting for password, not for no prompting
for the PST password.
