Outlook 2007 keeps crashing

I am using the latest Office 2007 Beta on XP SP2 with the very latest
hotfixes. Outlook 2007 worked fine for a few days. They, it started crashing
after I open it and access the inbox. Sometimes times it crashes right away.
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling. Whacked my profile, created a new one.

I was using the OUtlook Live local program but I uninstalled it. I don't
think I am using anything else, but I can't verify that know.
No, it does not start in safe mode. It does the exact same thing.
I did delete the Outlook folders from Local Settings and Application Data
folders. Is there something else to make it a totally clean?

I did try that initially.... after deleting the folders. I will try that
procedure again when I get in to the office.

I was using the OUtlook Live local program but I uninstalled it. I don't
think I am using anything else, but I can't verify that know.
No, it does not start in safe mode. It does the exact same thing.
I did delete the Outlook folders from Local Settings and Application Data
folders. Is there something else to make it a totally clean?

I am using the latest Office 2007 Beta on XP SP2 with the very latest
hotfixes. Outlook 2007 worked fine for a few days. They, it started
crashing
after I open it and access the inbox. Sometimes times it crashes right

I did have the Windows Live Tools bar add-in installed, so I uninstalled it.
I followed the directions for creating a new profile.
Those didn't work.
What happens is Outlook opens and loads my mailbox, however if I click on
any folder in my inbox or my calendar.. whatever, that is when Outlook
crashes.

It seems like clicking on an appointment or calendar item causes it to crash
right away.

I was using the OUtlook Live local program but I uninstalled it. I don't
think I am using anything else, but I can't verify that know.
No, it does not start in safe mode. It does the exact same thing.
I did delete the Outlook folders from Local Settings and Application Data
folders. Is there something else to make it a totally clean?

I am using the latest Office 2007 Beta on XP SP2 with the very latest
hotfixes. Outlook 2007 worked fine for a few days. They, it started
crashing
after I open it and access the inbox. Sometimes times it crashes right
away.
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling. Whacked my profile, created a new
one.

Are you using a new (clean and empty) pst-file? If you are using your
current pst-file the corruption could be in there.

I deleted the pst files from the Outlook folder. I didn't have Outlook using
the pst though, I'll see how it goes.

Hi

I'm having a similar problem. Have been running Beta 2 for awhile with no
problems. Then there was XP update that I installed I'd say 2 weeks ago now -
honestly not sure which unfortunately - and since then Outlook crashes on a
regular basis. Did you have an XP update?

I've sent in loads error reports, did the repair, and to my knowledge do not
have any add-ins. Just using it with hotmail accounts and a local pst. So far
I'm not crashing with calendar or contact items, just email.

Sorry I do not have any suggestions for fixing, but can commiserate with you
:)

Yes XP is patched with all current patches.
I did finally get an error message that a reminder couldn't be processed and
might be corrupt but it did not cause Outlook to crash.... yet.

Wonderful!! (not!)
I just started using OL 2007 last week.
I have the same problem of OL crashing each time I attempt to open an email
message, as well as in other "opening" instances.

Sadly, I may go back to OFFICE 2003 - for this reason and others (no
"autotext in OL 2007!)

Do post if any solution is available -- or a fix.

After reinstalling 2003 I had to delete the mapisvc.inf file. Search your HD,
there are two files. Restart OUtlook and it will recreate the file. I haven't
attempted reinstalling 2007 though.......
