outlook 2007 issu

outlook has reached it's max size. The reduce the amount to data within this
file, select some items you no longer need and permanently .........
and any thing i click on or if i want to delete keep getting this massage
and i cant do anything

Are you using an old pst-file (ANSI formatted) and is it reaching the 2GB?
