I was using Outlook 2003 when my computer stopped booting up. I bought a new
computer but couldn't get my Outlook1.pst file off my old hard drive. I
ended up having to send it to a file retrieval service, who was able to
recover the file. I now have an old Outlook.pst that was created in 2003 and
a new Outlook.pst file that has been created in Outlook 2007. My problem is
two fold: first, the data in the old file is somewhat corrupted. I have
lost city, state, and zip codes for all addresses. I still have phone
numbers and e-mail addresses, although the e-mail addresses are in the wrong
places. Second, I want to move some of the contacts from the old file to the
new outlook.pst. When I try to I get two error messages. The first says
"Cannot move the items. Teh item connot bemoved. It was either already
moved or deleted, or access was denied". Sometime I get an error message
that just says the item can't be moved. I also can't delete contacts off the
old file. The program isn't recognizing the contact until I change the "file
as" setting, so I can't use the auto-fill technique to remove it and when I
try just using the delete button I get an error message that says "The
messaging interface has returned an unkown error. If the problem persists,
restart Outlook".
