Outlook 2003-Why is there a typing delay when receiving an email?

M

Outlook 2003 cached hosted exchange on a network. Some users have
experienced a typing delay or no response to their typing when an incoming
email notification is happening. In those few seconds what they are typing
either does not show up for awhile or there is no response from what they
have typed. This has only been noticed in the last month. Otherwise, all
else seems fine. Our mail format setting is HTML. Our notification settings
are play a sound, display an envelope. When notification is off and an email
is incoming we have the same results. Thanks for thinking on this with me.

Check the health of user's hard drive. A failing drive can trigger such
performance issues. Also, antiviruses can be responsible as well.
