outlook 2003 terminates itself

I am using outlook 2003 with XP pro and starting
yesterday, after I added checking my hotmail account
outlook terminates itself shortly after loading. If I
quickly click on email, calendar or contacts it does not
close. But if I do nothing and just let it load it will
close itself after about 5 seconds. Does anyone know of
a situation like this. I have run virus scan and can not
find any viruses.

Do I need to backup anything before I delete the srs file?
I can keep the program open if I quickly click on mail or
contacts before it closes.
Does the srs file contain any needed data?
Thanks for your reply

The srs is the send and receive group data - outlook will rebuild it with
the defaults. If you created custom groups, they'll need to be recreated. I
think you need to make sure outlook is closed to delete it - look for it at
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.
