Outlook 2003 startup problems

Garry

When outlook starts up the error message (The add-
in "C:\ProgramFiles\OCR\Redemption.dll" could not be
installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using
Detect and Repair on the Help menu.) This does not solve
the problem so I need to delete this reference manually
can anyone help by telling me where to find this? I have
tried uninstalling and reinstalling and looking in the
windows registry. But seams like looking for a needle in a
haystack.
Also how can you delete toolbars left by uninstalled
programs?

Open Outlook
Open the TOOLS menu
Select the OPTIONS... menu
Click the OTHER tab
Click the ADVANCED OPTIONS... button
Click the ADD-IN MANAGER... button

Uncheck next to the Redemption... addin.

to remove toolbars, the easiest method is the scorched earth method. find
and rename outcmd.dat to old and then reopen Outlook. The more involved
method involves right clicking on your toolbar, select the Customize option
and then toolbars. Uncheck the ones that you don't want. if this does not
work, see method one.
