Outlook 2003 sending via wrong e-mail account

With this bug, if Outlook 2003 w/ SP-1 can't send the e-mail via the
default account (or the one specified for the particular message) then it
just moves on and attempts to send the e-mail via any other account in
your list. If you only have one account then you will not see the bug.
The problem with this is that the from address in the messages you send
out will not contain the desired information. Also, if you want to send
personal e-mails through one account and work e-mails through another
they will get mixed up.

I have done some research on this issue and there are old messages where
Microsoft has acknowledged that this is a bug. They said they had a
hotfix ready but then decided not to release it.

Well, now I have additional information. I have noticed that if the
additional accounts also fail to accept the e-mail Outlook will mark it
as sent anyway and move the e-mail to the Sent Items folder.

This is just plain wrong. I want Microsoft to release that hotfix NOW!
I'm tired of having to spend more time figuring out workarounds than
actually getting any work done!

The problem doesn't occur if you can always authenticate to the outgoing
server of the account used to send the message.
