Outlook 2003 running very slow

This problem has been vexing me for several weeks. In Outlook 2003, messages
open very slwly in the preview pane. In addition, when I'm composing an
e-mail or replying to one, it takes forever for text to appear on screen.
This happens whether or not I'm composing in HTML or plain text. It does not
happen in Outlook Express where this message is being composed.

I have Windows XP with all service packs and am up to date with all of
Microsofts fixes. I have run Windows Advanced Care 2 to seek out problems as
well as Spy Bot and Ad-aware. There were many registry fixes made but they
have not corrected this problem.

Don't know if this is related or if there is another problem, but Norton AV
will not run a scheduled scan either.

Spy Bot adds a lot of entries in the Restricted Sites zone of Internet
Explorer. Remove all these entires and try again.
