Outlook 2003 Rules

I've got a rule on my computer that filters emails with certain text
into a particular folder. All incoming email that has "company.com"
in the email address correctly goes into the filtered folder. If I
respond to a message in that folder, the sent message appears in my
sent folder.

My boss wanted the same filter set up on his PC, so I set the exact
same filter up for him. Except that when he responds to an email in
the filtered folder, his sent message also gets filtered into the
folder (instead of the sent mail folder). Why does this happen, and
what do I need to change to get it to stop?

Take a peek at Tools > Options > Preferences tab > Email Options button >
Advanced Email Options button. Second checkbox from the top about in
folders other than the inbox, saving items with original message.

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, both computer are set up
exactly the same there. I have not been able to find any other option
that might be causing outlook to run the filter on outbound items. It
seems like the filter should not look at the outbound or the sent
folders, and the sent message should not pass through the inbox.
Plus, the filters that seem to be causing this to happen, really
should not work with the messages in question.

I am having a similar issue since July, 2007. When I "reply" to an e-mail, my
reply is save in BOTH the saved folder and my Inbox. Any ideas?

I unchecked the "second checkbox" from the top in advanced options and this
seems to have resolved my issue. Thank you.
