Outlook 2003/McAfee problem

Olivier

Hello all,

My config:
Compaq Evo N800w laptop
- WinXP SP1
- Office 2003 therefore including Outlook 2003
- McAfee Virus Scan
- McAfee Spam Killer

Symptoms:
Every month, SpamKiller seems to "forget" the presence of Outlook on my
computer and doesn't filter anymore. When trying to re-parameter it, it
shows no Outlook mail account but instead, I'm proposed the option to
setup a POP account.

As you can guess, the filtering is poor and I get so many spam mails.

Each time, I have to completely clean McAfee products not only by
uninstalling but also use a special procedure from McAfee with .REG
files to purge the registry. Then I have to UNINSTALL Office to have it
reinstalled then reinstall McAfee products.

You can imagine that's painful and I'd be happy to find a solution.

Can anybody help?

Thxs

Well I haven't used Mcafee SpamKiller but i can prescribe a good service in this regard which worked for me and is free.
Its Spam Marshall webservice(www.spammarshall.com). This service requires your POP3/SMTP and then checks your account after every 30 minutes for SPAM or malicious attachments. This service also archives the blocked messages for 7 days so your chances of loosing good mails are Nil.
