Outlook 2003 - links open FireFox instead of IE

I run Windows XP with SP2 installed. In Outlook 2003, when I click on
a link in an email, a FireFox window now opens. It used to open IE6. I
want IE6 to open when I click a link.

I have tried to change the default browser to IE. Apparently, both
browsers think they are the default browser. Both browsers are set to
check if they are the default browser. I can open either one without
getting the "default browser" dialog box. I have toggled the "default
brower" checkbox in the Options of both browsers hoping to reset the
feature but that didn't make any difference.

I installed Office 2003 6 months ago and it has all the updates. I
installed FireFox ThunderBird recently and Thunderbird soon
thereafter. I can't remember when the link problem started.

Please advise. Thank you!

I have the exact opposie problem. My Internet Explorer is
inoperative. This causes a problem accessing my mail
through Outlook . I am currently using another browser
(Mozzilla Firefox) and can only view my mail online. I
have changed my default browser to Firefox but cannot open
Outlook at all. It states I need I.E. 4 or above to run
Outlook. Fortunately, I have another computer with Outlook
2003 installed. I have ported my pst files but since ie6
is not working, I cannot open the Rules Wizard to export
my rules. Is there a way to export my rules without
opening Outlook? How can I get my rules to another
computer? Can I run Outlook from (or with) Firefox?

Thank you.
