Outlook 2003 Inbox won't update

I have a user running Outlook 2003 (11.8002.6568) SP2. Outlook synchs every
folder (Sent Items, Deleted, etc) with the Exchange 2003 Server but won’t
update the Inbox itself (however it will synch the subdirectories - oddly
enough).

Also in the Folder List there are two Mailboxes and two sets of Public
Folders present. When I go into the properties of the mailboxes and click on
Advanced, an error pops up saying: "The operation failed. An object could not
be found"

I've deleted and re-added the Exchange E-mail Account but the problem
persists. The status bar along the bottom keeps reading "waiting to update
this folder". Please advise.

Create a new mail profile via the mail applet and then delete the old one.
(sounds like minor registry corruption in the HKCU hive.)

Dave and I were working on this together. I tried deleting the email account
and re-adding it however Outlook is still behaving the same way.

Again, must create a new mail profile first and then delete old because of
the way caching happens with registry data.
