Outlook Inbox issue

Hi,

I have installed Outlook 2000 on a Windows XP machine and is connected to an
Exchange 2003 mail server. I have only had this problem since upgrading to XP.
When a new mail is sent it is not appearing in the Inbox until you click on
a different folder i.e. deleted items and then click back the Inbox.

Could anybody please help as this is driving me mad!

Hi K,

Thanks for the advice, I have tried adding this program into the Firewall
expceptions and changing the registry as instructed however with still no
luck!

Any more suggestions please?

Is your Exchange server located on-site or off-site?

Onsite and the machines are joined to the local domain.

Do all the PC's have the same problem or just you? Is the problem related to
the PC, that is anyone logging in and setting up their Outlook profile on it
has the same problem? If you log into a different PC, does the problem
persist? Does everyone use the same version of Outlook?

Everyone that has XP installed on their machine with either Outlook 98 or
Outlook 2000 is having this problem, everyone that is running Win 2K is fine.

This still goes back to UDP and how Outlook polls Exchange for email,
especially when using NAT. The trick is to trick Outlook into not using its
default preference for UDP and to force polling instead:

Yipee! Thanks that works fine now but instead of having the value as 1 as the
document says, I changed it to 0 and it's now instant.
