Outlook 2003 Hangs/Crashes When Spell-checking

My Outlook hangs (showing 100% CPU usage in the task manager) when running
the spell-checker, it encounters a mis-spelled word (or is it misspelled?).
The only way that it works is to turn off automatic spell checking and forgo
spell checking altogether (which is not optimal, to say the least).

I have Outlook 2003 running on Windows XP Pro with all the Service Packs
installed. In fact, the problem started (I believe) after I installed SP2.

Any thoughts?

By the way, I already tried the Ourlook "Detect and Repair" and I also ran
(from the Office 2003 CD) the "Repair Office" but there was no improvement.
