Outlook 2003 - Favorites Folder

How do I hide / remove / nuke the Favorites folder in
the navigation pane?

It's bugging me heaps having to see both the favorite
folders list and the normal folders list.

My normal users have no idea what the differences entail
and so the thing just clutters up their screen.

Also - any way to remove the "shadow" around the preview
pane.

Switch to the Folder List navigation instead of using the Mail navigation.

You can't remove the border around the Reading Pane.
