Outlook 2003 Errors

Since upgrading from Windows Media to Vista Home Premium, I receice two error
messages when using Outlook 2003. The messages state "This application has
failed because FXSAPI.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may
fix this problem." I have re-installed several times and the problem is not
resolved.

The second error is, "The add-in"C:\Windows\system32\fxsext32.dll Could not
be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using Detect and
Repair on the Help menu." I've tried and it doesn't help.

Any suggestions?

fxsext32.dll has to do with the fax server on your PC. If you do not fax
from outlook, go to control panel, administrative tools, services and look
for the fax server. change it from automatic, to manual and make sure it's
stopped. this should take care of it. If you do fax from outlook then you
need to try and fix the issue, type fxsext32.dll into google and you will
get many pages of help explaining your problem and possible solutions from
people much smarter than me :)

Pat--I don't find these errors with a quick search of the MSKB @
http://support.microsoft.com
but you might try searching more thorougly there.

I'd try running SFC (System File Checker) and see if it will replace these
files in case they've become corrupt with intact ones.

Windows key + R---->in run box type cmd>right click cmd at top of start when
pops up----->run as admin>at cmd prompt type "sfc /scannow" without the
quotes.

I'm not palming this off, also, but if I were you I'd post on the outlook or
outlook general group. Either of them are loaded with book authors and MVPs
who are very familiar with outlook .dll missing errors. You also might try
the .dlls as View>find search terms on both those groups.

Luck,

Thanks for the suggestion, but no fax server shows up under control panel,
admin tools, services.
