Outlook 2003 default setting for selecting messages

This is probably a dumb question, but as I'm reading email in my inbox when I
delete a message it automatically selects the message that was directly above
the message I just deleted. I want to change the default so it selects the
one below that message but I can't find the setting anywhere. Does anyone
know where this is located?
