Outlook 2003 - can't open messages in Vista's Windows Email

I saved messages created in Outlook 2003 onto a flash disk (USB key)
to use at home. My system has Vista Windows Mail.
To my surprise the Outlook messages will not open in Windows Mail.
Anyone out there know what I can do to get the messages to open in Windows
Mail?
Thanks.

You must have Outlook installed to open the .pst file you saved. Only Outlook can read the .pst (and .msg files) - Windows Mail has no relation to Outlook and cannot read Outlook .msg or .pst files.

I could have sworn that I was able to open files from work with the .msg
extension with Windows Mail. Oh Well, thanks for taking the time to answer my
question.
