Outlook 2003 and XP problems

When I rebooted my computer after a few days away I found that Outlook would
not connect with my ISP to retrieve my email. I get an error:
"Task 'pop.ca.inter.net - Receiving' reported error (0x8004210A) : 'The
operation timed out waiting for a response from the receiving (POP) server.
If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'"


The email is there as I can view it via webmail.
