Outlook 2003 and Vista Business Compatibility Issues

Please help! I'm running Vista Business and Outlook 2003. Inbound messages
via POP3 services are suspended (i.e. "receiving messages 1 of 5") only
outbound email resolves/processes accordingly. What we know: 1. Email
settings are correct (per ISP-Network Solutions POP3 host). 2. Norton
Internet Security was removed. What’s of Interest: Using the same ISP
(Network Solutions) and POP3 email box; several client machines running XPS
SP2 and Outlook 2003 process email both Inbound and Outbound successfully.

Are you absolutely sure all the Norton crap was removed?

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool

You may also want to try using this command,

In an elevated command prompt, type>

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

This has also helped users who have been experiencing
general surfing problems. If you want to enable the setting
again, use this>

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

Have you found a fix for this? I am having the same problem. However,
I can download fine when I am not on my office network. I.E. - when I
am at home I have no issues.

The other computers (all XP) in my office have no issues so I don't
believe that it can have anything to do with firewall or ISP.

Serling,

I fixed my problem. It turns out my router (Linksys RV042) firmware
needed to be upgraded. Once I did this I was able to receive e-mail.
Also, my general Internet response got better.
