Outlook 2003 accoubt seetings are reset

Hello, here's my situation/problem :

We currently use an exchange 2003 server with outlook 2003 client installed
on windows xp sp 2 machine. Client settings are configure with the help of a
..prf file to set server, account...... We also use WSUS 3.0 to deploy the
microsoft security fix for windows xp and office 2003 (including outlook)

Problem is, once the patch are installed and the pc is automatically
rebooted, the config is set again on the client, meaning the current profile
is backed up (we have an backup of ms exchange settings). The .ost file is
recreated, the address book config is reset, signatures are lost.....we have
to set it all again manually; worst part is the .ost getting recreated, it's
a long process for our user with big mailbox and since we have differents
satellite offices it causes lots of taffic on the WAN/LAN.

Anybode got an idea what the source of the problem might be and how to fix
it ?

Thanks.

Pierre,
I have the exact same problem, except that it's even worst. The archive
folders that has been added and if you have added somebody else mailbox it
all disapear, and the user have to put them back every time.
