Outlook 2003 - 3 Questions

Q1. Is it possible to set the folder view as the default
view rather than having the Favourite folders displayed in
addition to the whole folder structure?

Q2. Is there anyway to permanently remove the Outlook
icon from the System Tray?

Q3. Every time I shut down Windows I get an error
with 'ciceroUIWndFrame' and it appears that this is
connected with Outlook (on re-boot I get a message to the
effect that Outlook did not close properly). After a
Google search all I can find is that the error can
sometimes be eliminated by removing the Speech Recognition
elements of Office. I believe I have now done this but I
still get the error. Does anyone have a solution?

Many thanks is advance

A1) Switch to the Fplder View; this will give you a more classic view of
Outlook

A2) Nope, but if you run Windows XP you can adjust your Notification Erea to
always hide the icon

A3) Haven't looked into this. Are you running Beta2, Beta2TR or the official
release?

1. I am running the Official Release. I can select the
folder view but this is not remembered; I have to select
it each time I open Outlook.

2. I am running Windows XP Pro(+SP1) but I don't want to
hide the con, I want to remove it. If I lok at the
running processes when Outlook has been
shutdown, 'Outlook.exe' is still listed. I have to close
this to get rid of the icon and then the shutdown problem
in point (3) dissappears.

3. I may try a complete re-install of Office to se if
this corrects the problem - I doubt it!

The folder view should be remembered - start outlook using the resetnavpane
switch. (you'll lose all customizations of the nav pane)

are you using any software that integrates with outlook including but not
limited to fax, internet stamp software, or Active Sync?
