outlook 2002, unable to write new or forword mail

I have been using this program for a long time then one day when I booted up,
my outlook 2002 e-mail was all messed up. the view pane was gone [got that
back] It will not let me write new, forword or relpy but I can receive and
read my mail.anyone have any ideas I have'nt been able to find any fix.

Define "will not let". Does a hand come out of your PC screen and slap you?
Does the keyboard fold itself up so you can't touch the keys?

It will say " microsoft outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close
ect. send report. rebooting doesn't help

Have you tried a new mail profile?

Yes I have, a few different times and still the same. I have changed to
outlook express but I like the old outlook better because of the calendar

Have you tried Help>Detect and Repair?
