outlook 2002 - junk mail folder gone

Some how my mother deleted her junk mail folder. She is running Outlook 2002
and Norton Internet Security. There had been an option on each email to
choose "this is junk mail" or "this is not junk mail" which I think may have
been an Norton feature.
Any ideas about how to retore the junk mail folder and it functionality? I
have no problem removing Norton if needed. I am having to ask my 80 year old
mother for the symtoms of her problem over the phone and by email since I am
not local to her computer. Any suggestions are welcome.

You sure its not in the Deleted Folder? or has simply been moved?
I could be wrong but I thought NIS created a spam folder

Not an Outlook issue. Check in the Symantec newsgroups on how to
restore a function that the Norton interface has dropped inside of
Outlook. The problem is with your Norton product, not with Outlook.
It's been several years since I bothered with any Norton software on my
host, but back then you could even open a trouble ticket with Symantec
to get a response from them by going to their support pages. Response
was 3 to 5 business days.
